SCORCHING weather has shone on North Yorkshire as the start of June heralded a return of the heat.
Sun-worshippers basked in temperatures reaching into the mid-20s yesterday, with people packing into the region’s parks and flocking to its beaches.
Forecasters have predicted a repeat performance today and the sun is also set to continue showing its face over the weekend.
However, predictions are for the weather to become cooler on Saturday and Sunday, with temperatures dropping to about 15C but no rain on the horizon.
