ALL hospitals are not like the one in Bristol shown on Panorama on Monday.

When our son was 18, in 1983, he was brain damaged in a bicycle accident. Ever since, he has met with nothing but kindness. For the past 18 years he has been under the care of Henshaws College at Harrogate, first on campus and then in various homes.

The care workers in his home have always been very understanding and he attends Henshaws Arts & Crafts centre in Knaresborough four days a week where his artistic talent is encouraged, he even has his own exhibitions.

I was going to ring a radio station this morning to let them know the other side of the story, but unfortunately Simon has fallen at home fracturing his hip. Again, the staff have been wonderful. His care manager took him straight to A&E and he is going to have an operation later today.

What brilliant service. We can never thank Henshaws enough for all the love and understanding Simon has received.
