A YORK nursery which has been attended by thousands of children across the city has celebrated its 20th anniversary with a party.
Kaleidoscope Nurseries, which is based in Acomb, St Olave’s School in Bootham and at York St John University, marked the anniversary with a family fun day in the sun at Westfield Primary School.
Jane Middlebrook, the managing director of Kaleidoscope, said they were also celebrating a “good” Ofsted report for the nursery at Acomb, which was judged to have four outstanding features. She said: “I’m really proud of all the achievements of all the practitioners and managers and everyone associated with us.”
Kaleidoscope also has an after-school club at Park Grove School, a holiday club at Haxby Road Primary School as well as numerous nurseries and out-of-school clubs in Leeds.
About 100 people attended the event on Saturday which featured a barbecue, a bouncy castle and an appearance from Buzz Lightyear.
