YOU wanted a few more letters from “common people” (Letters, May 25).
I live in a first-floor flat in Tadcaster and have a lovely view over to the river. I like to sit in a morning with my cuppa and enjoy the view. Just below me is a community recycling area.
On Monday morning, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance lorry arrived and he took a few bags out of his skip, put them in his lorry and the rest of the bags he put into the Oxfam skip.
The following day the Oxfam lorry arrived and he put the entire contents of the Oxfam skip into the Yorkshire Air Ambulance skip and drove off. So that is what recycling is all about.
Jean Ashton, Rosemary Court, Tadcaster.
