The New Generation Singing Club in York is about to celebrate its tenth birthday and to launch this celebration, members of the choir sang to patients and visitors at York Hospital.
The club has chosen to raise money for the Special Care Baby Unit at York Hospital during their anniversary celebrations.
The club caters for children from the age of nine to 16 years old and it was set up by Liz Edge for her granddaughter, Becky, to build her own confidence through singing.
Becky started her life in the unit at York Hospital and many club members over the years have also had that same start in life, which is why the club has chosen to support the unit.
The club will be officially celebrating its anniversary on Saturday, July 2, between 7pm and 9pm in the VIP suite at the Gallery Nightclub in York (with a licensed bar). Tickets cost £5 each (£3 for OAPs, full-time students and under-16s).
For further information and tickets, phone Sue Whitaker on 01904 762559, or Liz Edge 01904 790732.
