A NORTH Yorkshire arts festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary.
CultureShock, which is aimed at giving young people from across the region the chance to enjoy a festival in safe surroundings, will run from Wednesday, June 15, to the following Saturday at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate.
The festival’s Big Show will be the highlight of its Friday night and the main youth arts festival will run on the Saturday, with almost 7,000 people expected to attend.
Eight local groups which took part in a battle-of-the-bands competition last month will share the main stage at the festival, which is produced by Connecting Youth Culture, part of North Yorkshire County Council’s youth support service.
