THIEVES have stolen steering wheels, airbags and sat-nav systems from high-value cars in North Yorkshire.
Criminals have targeted vehicles in Harrogate and Knaresborough, breaking in to six on Saturday night.
Sergeant Penny Taylor, of Harrogate Police, said: “These are quite unusual items to steal, as usually thieves go for property which is easy to remove quite quickly, such as CDs.
“It looks like it could be an organised gang stealing to order.”
Mercedes, Porsche and Audi cars were among those targeted. Three were parked on Kent Road and Hereford Road in Harrogate, one in Florin Drive, in Knaresborough, and the other in Sterling Close.
Anybody with information about the thefts should phone Harrogate Police on 0845 6060247.
