The Nunings at Nafferton is proving a hit for people seeking a village people way of life. after taking a look at the show home, Brian Page can see why.
There’s nothing like a satisfied customer to help spread the word about your great new homes.
Especially when they are as enthusiastic as Kathryn and Stephen Chappell. The couple, originally from West Yorkshire, have been waxing lyrical about the joys of buying a Beal home in The Nunings at Nafferton.
Kathryn, a retired head teacher, says: “Nafferton’s countryside setting so close to the wonderful East Yorkshire coast was what really appealed to us.
“The Nunings has a good variety of houses built in keeping with the rural character of the village. We had a positive feeling about it from the start, and, now that we’ve made the move we’re really looking forward to getting involved in village life.”
They are not alone in their enthusiasm… some 40 per cent of the new homes planned by Beal in the East Wolds village have already been sold.
The attractions, as the Chappels pointed out, are fairly obvious. Nafferton is a pretty village in its own right but when you throw in the fact that it is close to the market town of Driffield and within road and rail (it still has its own working station) commuting distance of York, Hull and Beverley, it’s little wonder The Nunings is proving popular.
Then there is the little matter of the show home… The pictures here show just what is on offer for the money – a great deal, in our opinion.
The lounge, for instance, is a super light and airy room with little extras like ceiling cornicing (not always available in new homes) and a smart feature fireplace.
And then there is the absolutely brilliant open-plan kitchen/dining and family room.
This is a superb space with a nicely kitted out kitchen with granite worktops and with a box bay window style space with dual aspect windows and French doors out to the garden. What’s more, they have either lit the place up with floodlights or it really is a very bright, light and airy room.
“The village’s rural location, and especially its proximity to the East Yorkshire coast, is proving a real draw,” said Richard Beal, who heads up the family-owned company, which has been building new village homes around the East Riding for over 40 years.
“With its own Beacon Status primary school, rail station, village store, post office, 11th century church and friendly pubs, Nafferton is a super place for families to live,”
Richard adds. The majority of homes being built at The Nunings are family-sized properties and, with 14 different designs among the 57 homes, Beal has ensured plenty of choice.
Plots currently released for sale range from the three-bedroom Burniston at £144,995 up to the large, detached four-bedroom Canterbury, which comes with a detached garage at £279,995.
Externally, all the house designs have a deliberately designed rural look and the Nunings is bounded by open farmland The Nunings’ show home is off Station Road in Nafferton and is open 10am to 5pm Thursday to Monday. Further details are available from Beal Homes on freephone on 0800 612 1216.
