The Bank Of England has held interest rates again at 0.5 per cent. This is the 27th consecutive month they have been held.

I suppose people with mortgages will be smiling once again with no increases in their repayments.

But what about the older generation who have money invested in banks and building societies in order to get interest from these and to help them in retirement?

The Government and the Bank of England do not care about these people. They seem to think as long as people with mortgages don’t have to pay more, everyone will be happy. Not so!
