DO you recognise these men? They are wanted in connection with a knifepoint robbery in York.
A local 23-year-old man was robbed by three men in Bootham, near the junction with Grosvenor Terrace, and police are seeking witnesses.
Men threatened the victim and demanded his wallet before leaving with the victim’s bank card. The victim was unharmed but was left very shaken by the incident.
Detectives have released CCTV images showing the three men on security cameras at the McDonald’s fast food restaurant in the city centre earlier that morning.
One of them is described as white and was wearing a light coloured hoodie and a green baseball cap.
The other two are described as black; one was wearing a red hoodie with white writing across the front and a white baseball cap, the other was wearing a grey t-shirt and a dark coloured cap or bandana.
Officers are appealing for the men to contact the police and cooperate with the investigation.
They are also appealing for anyone who can help identify the men from the CCTV images, or any witnesses to the robbery, to come forward.
In particular, police would like to speak to a milkman who may have been in the area at the time of the robbery.
It is possible that he may have seen the suspects in the area or may have witnessed the robbery.
The offence happened at about 2.20am on Wednesday, June 1, but police did not release details until yesterday afternoon.
Anyone with information is asked to phone Det Con Julie Carter, of York CID on 0845 6060247, or to phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
