POLICE are hoping to reunite a haul of suspected stolen property with its rightful owners.
On Monday, at about 10.30pm, officers on routine patrol in the Harrogate district stopped a flat-bed truck in Pool-in-Wharfedale.
The truck contained metal items of scrap value including sheep wire fencing, a container of petrol, a red bail grabber and other items.
Officers suspect the property may have been stolen from farms in the Harrogate area. The three occupants of the truck – a 27-year-old Bradford man and two Shipley men aged 23 and 24 – were arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft and released on bail while inquiries continue.
Anyone who believes the property may be theirs, should phone police on 0845 6060247.
