WHY, when the teaching unions vote for a strike which will happen, quite deliberately after exams, does the Department for Education brand the action “damaging for learning”?
Especially when an additional bank holiday, called by the same government and at a critical time for exam students, was absolutely fine?
The real damage to learning will be caused by running the teaching profession into the ground. More Con-Dem short-sightedness.
