RI AMATEURS continued their unbeaten streak in York Amateur Bowling Association League division one, but must be wary of their next opponents.
Their next match is in two weeks’ time against first division title holders, Selby, who defeated them 7-1 last season.
Selby trail by ten points, yet have lost only one game.
Home advantage will be vital for York RI as they look to reverse the past result and continue their winning run.
Down at the bottom of division one, newly-promoted Bootham have four wins and are 14 points clear of the relegation zone.
One point separates Dunnington, Holgate and Holgate WMC at the basement.
In division two, Stewart lead the way by 25 points with eight wins from nine games.
Second spot is wide open, as only seven points separate the next eight teams.
Copmanthorpe, yet to be beaten, continued their dominance over their division three rivals.
Meanwhile, the preliminary round of the triples competition will be played at Clarence Gardens on Friday, June 24, starting at 6.45pm.
The line-up is: B Carter v K Ryder, E Howcroft v B Douglas, D Preece v B Cooper.
