THESE colleagues from Tesco in Selby helped to raise about £500 for Cancer Research UK by braving the rain at the Race for Life in Pontefract.
Amanda Foster, one of the 16 workers who took part in the fun run on Sunday, said: “It was throwing it down. We were all wet and cold but there was a good spirit which kept us all going.”
While entries have now closed for the Race for Life in York on Sunday, friends and relatives are welcome to cheer on the runners as they make their way round the 10k event at 10am or the 5k run, which starts at 2.30pm. More than 4,000 women are expected to take part on Sunday.
