A RARE butterfly looks to have been spotted in East Yorkshire.
As reported in The Press earlier this month, The Forestry Commission has linked up with Butterfly Conservation to try and lure the Duke of Burgundy butterfly back to Dalby Forest.
The creature survives in only a handful of places in the north.
Within days of reading the report, Press reader David Mooney from Bridlington snapped this picture in his conservatory.
He said: “The picture is a bit dark, but I think it is the same butterfly alive and well in darkest Bridlington, and thriving.”
