THE winners of the sixth annual Sharow Photographic Competition have been announced at the exhibition of entries held in the Methodist Hall in Ripon.
Martin Joy, from Barrow-on-Humber, came first from more than 1,100 entries, for his portrait Bird Man Of Paris, and Norma Holmes, from Skelton-on-Ure came second with Rainy Day In Venice.
David Page, the competition chairman, said: “We are immensely proud and grateful to all involved for their contributions and would like to record our thanks to all.”
The net proceeds from this year’s competition will be used to support the work of St John’s Church and Martin House Hospice near Wetherby The winning entries can be viewed at the website sharowphotocomp.co.uk
