HATS which draw their inspiration from the dramatic Yorkshire coastline as well as the chic of vintage Paris will be display at the Great Yorkshire Show next month.
Models will be wearing items from the Suzanne Gill Millinery Collection in the Skipton Building Society Fashion Pavilion at the Harrogate showground.
Suzanne qualified with a distinction in millinery a year ago from the Leeds College of Art & Design.
Since then, she has won several commissions and collaborated on projects with one of the UK’s top fashion labels. It was one of her creations that won the title of best hat at the Cheltenham Festival Ladies’ Day. The drama of a stormy day at Whitby with the waves rolling over the sea wall gave Suzanne the idea to build this into one of her designs.
One hat features pleats to signify the waves. Another is trimmed with plastic to signify the iridescent water droplets as the waves hit the harbour wall.
The show takes place from Tuesday, July 12, to Thursday, July 14.
