ONE comment I keep hearing with the central library is: “what has the money been spent on?”

Some people like the café, others don’t like the noise. There is a simple solution to this, moving the children’s section into the Breirley Room, or to where the Talking Books are. This would free-up the café with less customers in the area, making it more efficient.

There will sadly be arguments between the modernist and the traditionalists. They both have their views and somewhere between lies a place that can accommodate everybody’s needs.

Let’s hope that throughout all Explore Centres that comments and complaints are acted upon.

Acomb Explore Centre, for example, needs more than four computers with internet access. It also has automatic doors that open and lets out the heat in winter.
