BIRDS of prey are in York for the summer as part of a striking display.
A North Yorkshire-based falconry company is allowing the public to handle, touch and be photographed with a variety of owls from all over the world in St Mary’s Square until October.
A spokesman for Owl Adventures Ltd said that people can ask questions and learn about the birds.
The falconer will also introduce the birds and provide guidance on their handling techniques.
The selection includes a ten-year-old little owl called Gizmo, a young barn owl called Sky and a European eagle owl called Henrietta.
