FOUR people have been arrested in connection with a knifepoint robbery in York.
Two youths aged 16, a 17-year-old youth, all from the York area, and an 18-year-old man, of Scarborough, were arrested in connection with the attack on a local 23-year-old man who was robbed in Bootham, near the junction with Grosvenor Terrace.
Detectives released CCTV images a group of men spotted shortly before the attack on June 1 and appealed for help in tracing them.
Men had threatened the victim and demanded his wallet before leaving with the victim’s bank card.
The victim was unharmed, but was left shaken by the incident.
Following the appeal, a 17-year-old was arrested on June 15.
The others were arrested over the weekend. They are currently on conditional bail while police inquiries continue. Anyone with information is asked to phone Det Con Julie Carter, of York CID on 0845 6060247.
