The 2011 Nestlé Family Tennis Tournament will be held in Rowntree Park on Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17.
On Saturday morning, the men’s doubles takes centre stage for either father and son teams or brothers. Poppleton’s Nick and Paul Turnbull are reigning champs.
The ladies doubles will be held on Saturday afternoon. Sisters Eleanor and Anna Bradshaw, of David Lloyd, were last year’s victors.
Sunday morning starts with the mixed doubles for mother/son, father/daughter or brother/sister combinations. Eleanor Bradshaw won her second title last year with father Duncan.
Husband and wife or couples finishes the event on Sunday afternoon, with York’s Jez Catchpole and Anne Jackson defending their title.
There will be prizes for all juniors entering. Entry forms can be obtained by phoning Chris Place on 01904 738737. The closing date for entries is July 10.
The draw will be made the following night.
