RAISE a glass and toast the champions!
These are the eight winners of The Press Pub Awards 2011, after a bumper list of nominations and months of judging.
The Swan, on the corner of Bishopthorpe Road and Clementhorpe in York, won the award for best overall pub, and received a barrel of beer from local champion brewer, Rudgate, as a prize.
All other pubs received framed certificates in recognition of their achievements.
Thanks again to everyone who nominated pubs for the awards and who voted in the readers’ choice poll, and thanks also to Rudgate for kindly donating the barrel of beer to the overall winner.
