A FACEBOOK page has been launched by GPs in York to encourage people not to use accident and emergency departments unnecessarily.
The new page is part of an ongoing campaign which has also seen information posters on buses in the city.
Doctors say A&E departments across the region charge the local health service an average of £117 per patient for treating people with minor injuries and illnesses who could have been dealt with by a GP. Visit the page at facebook.com/russonthebus
