A YOUTH has “completely spoilt” his life and could be locked up after he bragged about having sex in his school’s toilets with fellow pupils.
The boy from a village in the Selby area was 15 when he had sexual activity with two girls, both aged 14 at the time, York Youth Court heard. Gill Sandal, prosecuting, said text messages had been sent between the first girl and the youth over where they should have sex.
“He admits telling people he had had sex with this person in the school toilets and he was bragging about it,” said Ms Sandal.
After word spread about what he had done with the first girl earlier this year, the second girl, who has learning difficulties, revealed that the boy had had sex with her last year in the changing rooms. The boy said the sex was consensual.
When he was arrested, he told police that he had never had sex with anyone before he had sex with the girls and that he knew both were under 16 at the time.
He admitted having sexual activity with both girls and his case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report, to be prepared by the North Yorkshire Youth Offending Team.
Craig Robertson, representing the boy, said that all the children involved were under-age at the time.
“I suspect because he is male, he has been charged with the offence,” he said.
“He has been excluded from school now.
“In reality, his life has been completely spoilt by this.”
Magistrates ordered that the report look at all sentencing options including making a detention and training order.
Because of the nature of the charges, the youth will be sentenced by a district judge, rather than a bench of magistrates.
