A FESTIVAL to encourage school pupils to take up languages was being held in North Yorkshire today.
Eurofest 2011 was taking place at the Riccall Regen Centre. The event has been organised by North Yorkshire Business Education Partnership (NYBEP) on behalf of the Selby Modern Languages Forum, will include a simulated trade fair where Year Eight students will have to speak French, German and Spanish to sell products, which they have designed and created themselves, and offer tourist information to role-playing visitors.
Pupils from Brayton High School, Holy Family RC High School, Selby High School, Selby College, The Snaith School and Sherburn High School will take part in the festival, which will also feature a number of language workshops.
