A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with trespassing on the railway, a day after The Press published a photo of a teenager lying across railway tracks.
The picture had been posted on the Facebook page of the York Planking Association, which involves a craze for taking photos of people lying down in unusual places and posting them on the Internet.
The shot of the youngster with his head on one rail and his feet on the other was one of hundreds which have featured on the group's Facebook profile, which The Press reported on yesterday.
British Transport Police said a 14-year-old boy would appear at York Youth Court on July 5.
