A YOUNG man whose body was found in a North Yorkshire village has been named.
George Mark Lloyd Thomas, 26, from Oswaldkirk, was found near the ford at Harome, near Helmsley, following reports by a member of the public of a sudden death. Police were called to an area near Hall Lane at about 3.40pm on Monday. An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned at Scarborough Coroner’s Court pending further investigations.
A police spokesman said officers were satisfied there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and were preparing a report on behalf of the coroner.
