RESIDENTS of an East Yorkshire town who witnessed arsonists setting a moped on fire are being urged to contact police.
The vehicle, which was parked and locked in Clarence Road, Bridlington, was moved to the other side of the road from where it had been left by its owner between 5am and 5.40am last Friday.
Officers believe a bag of litter was placed underneath the moped and set alight, causing “significant damage”. The flames also spread to a silver Seat Alhambra, while the heat damaged several windows at nearby properties.
Anyone with information should phone Humberside Police on 0845 6060222.
