MOORLAND Energy Ltd have appealed to the Secretary of State on the failure of a planning decision to date by North Yorkshire County Council and North Yorks Moors National Park Authority regarding the proposed gas plant, wellhead and associated plans.
This means now that Her Majesty’s Planning Inspectorate will hold an appeal meeting as soon as possible and hopefully within this village.
Technicians Against Gas Sites would now urge all residents that are against these Moorland planning applications to write, individually, to: The Planning Inspectorate, Ref APP/W9500/ A/11/2155352/NWF, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 6PN.
We find it incredible that this company should call in the plans as its applications were incomplete and flawed from the beginning and have still not been corrected or upgraded satisfactorily.
Moorland Energy Ltd will now have to justify why it chose the most inappropriate site, and not the obvious one, at Givendale Head, outside of the Moors National Park. We believe the National Park should refuse the well head and sour gas pipeline applications so that Moorland reapply and horizontally drill the gas source from outside of our beautiful National Park.
