I WAS travelling back home to Foxwood Lane from the University of York on the number four bus route at around 4pm.
This service was late arriving and was formed of the small purple bus, not the usual ftr. It travelled slowly as far as the station, where the driver got off and another got on.
The bus then went up Queen Street, but instead of turning right into Blossom Street, went straight on into Nunnery Lane. The driver then went all the way down Nunnery Lane, round the one-way system and back up Nunnery Lane, straight on into Queen Street and back to the station, where he got out and yet another driver got on!
He then took us round the Station Road/Avenue one-way system back to the Railway Station for the third time, half an hour after we had first left, heading for Acomb.
With the new driver, we headed to Acomb without further incident.
I overheard the second driver say to the third that he had been mistaken and thought our bus was a number 7 Park&Ride!
I am concerned First seem to employ drivers who are unable to distinguish between the numbers 4 and 7.
