I THINK if you read the letter again, Farmer Ken (Letters, June 24), I only suggested that tractors shouldn’t be on the roads at peak times.
I didn’t suggest that cars rule the road; the point made was when a tractor was on the road and holding people up it made them drive more erratically and in turn endangered all fellow road users.
Yes, there are tractor drivers with common sense and manners who do pull over, but more often than not they do not do this.
Solution? Simple, stay off notoriously busy roads at peak times; it’s not that difficult now, is it?
