A PILOT had a lucky escape when his single- seater glider crashed into a roadside hedge in East Yorkshire.
The glider was intending to land, but it missed the runway it was aiming for and landed instead in Hodsow Lane, Barmby Moor, and ended up in the hedge.
The pilot managed to climb out of the aircraft without help, although Humberside firefighters stood by in case they were needed to assist.
The man was uninjured apart from a broken tooth. The crash happened near the airfield at Pocklington Industrial Estate.
