THE fun side of the 1940s will come to Tadcaster later this year, thanks to a tea dance being organised in aid of St Leonard’s Hospice in York.
Organisers say the evening will recreate the feel of the 1940s, with music of the time from the band Generation Groove. Visitors will be served with a two-course meal cooked from 1940s recipes. Visitors will be encouraged to wear period military or civilian clothing. The event takes place at Riley Smith Hall on Saturday, September 17.
Tickets cost £19.95 each. Details are available on 01904 777777.
