John Brown elected as Selby Lions Club president
John Brown has been elected as the new president of Selby Lions Club, succeeding David Jones to the office.
A member for more than ten years John, worked with the health authority in York at Ryedale House, Clifton and York District Hospitals, before his retirement.
It will be his second term as president, having previously serving in 2004 to 2005.
He said: “The club will continue to raise funds for local charities and also St Leonard’s and Martin House hospices with our Great Selby Bike Ride.”.
Mr Jones is pictured handing over the chain of office to Mr Brown, as other Lions look on.
