THE quiz last Wednesday fell into the trap of the usual trick question. Which is heavier, lead mercury or platinum? I had to wait until Thursday to find out what answer was given.

The usual trick question is: what is heavier, lead or feathers? The answer is they both weigh the same; a pound of lead weighs the same as a pound of feathers!

The question should be, which is most dense, lead or feathers? This raises the question, who is most dense, the question master for getting it wrong or me for being so pedantic?
