MEDICAL researchers at the University of York have been awarded £2 million to help their research into how wounds heal.
A team led by the University of York and the Hull York Medical School has been awarded the cash as part of a five-year programme by the National Institute for Health Research.
The aim of the research, which will be led by Professor Ian Chetter and Professor Nicky Cullum, will be to develop a better understanding of the nature, extent, costs, impact and outcomes of surgical wounds healing.
