AFTER reading the Letters page in The Press, I am of the opinion that the whole of the political parties allegedly running City of York Council should visit a shrink.
The powers that be in charge of York are promoting more nutty ideas as the years go by.
Now the latest laugh. Following the idea of selling off Union Terrace car park without thinking of cause and effect of creating alternative visitor parking comes another batty solution.
Let’s close Gillygate and pedestrianise the major stretch of inner ring road. So where next for the buses and vehicles that circuit the city walls?
Rumour has it that all council members meet once a month to say “how can we irritate the people of York who put us onto the council in the first place?”
