A DOG-walker discovered a body washed up on a beach in East Yorkshire.
The body of an elderly man was discovered at 11.40am on Tuesday on a stretch of shore-line at Mappleton.
A spokeswoman for Humberside police said a set of house keys found on the man led to officers discovering his identity. His next of kin have been informed and a report is currently being prepared for the coroner.
Police have not yet released the identity of the men but have confirmed he is from the local area.
