STAFF at a shop in Pocklington have been threatened by an armed robber.
The man, who is still being hunted by police, robbed the Co-operative Store in Market Street, Pocklington at about 1pm.
He is understood to have threatened staff with a gun before making off with cash from the store.
No-one was harmed in the incident and CCTV footage from the shop has been passed on to the police.
Officers made door-to-door enquiries and a police helicopter helped to search the area.
The offender is described as white, approximately 6ft 2in, of medium build, aged in his late 30s or early 40s and wearing blue baggy trousers, a fleece jacket, black gloves and black walking boots.
