HOW tiresome and inevitably pro-war the “Letters from Helmand” are.
If Kerry Hutchinson had anything to say that challenged US imperialism, then it would probably be deleted by the military censors; if he hasn’t then the letters are not worth adding to the barrage of pro-war propaganda available in the national news media.
The role of UK forces in Afghanistan (as in Iraq and Libya) is to support a vicious campaign to expand US/western economic interests.
Those Afghans who assist the invading forces are no better than those Europeans who collaborated with the Nazis, and will hopefully receive the same justice once the occupation ends.
