Scouts set off for Sweden
TEENAGERS from Brayton, Kellington and Thorpe Willoughby will join 40,000 scouts from 150 countries at the Jamboree in Sweden next week.
Zach Smith, 17, (6th Selby Brayton), Danny Humphrey-Shepherd, 15, (14th Selby St Francis Thorpe Willoughby), and Tom Dean, 15, (9th Selby Kellington), each raised £2,000 to travel to Skane for the this year’s event.
The group is led by by Katie McManaman, from 6th Selby Brayton, and Neil Underwood, Assistant County Commissioner for Cub Scouts North Yorkshire.
