RUNNERS from York Knavesmire Harriers turned in a superb finish to the York & District Summer League.
Second-claim athlete Will New finished third in the men’s open category, John Oliver was second in the M50 section, Mike McGrath won the M60 and Ian Bithell was third in the M60 as the team finished second overall.
In the women’s series, Emma Yates was third in the open category and first in the L35 section, Andrea Lancaster was second in L35, Maureen Medlar won L55 and, overall in the series, she claimed first place.
Emma Yates won the Kilburn 7 in 45 minutes 20 seconds, while Maureen Medlar was third in her age group in 63-43 and Harold Dobson won the M70 in 58-17.
Aislynn Austin won the women’s race at the Tal Ya Fen Fell Race.
