I hope that planning permission is given for the new mosque in Bull Lane.

Visiting relatives in Bradford regularly, the sight of these many multi-coloured buildings certainly brightens up God’s own city.

They may be large, but they are not obtrusive. If the current mosque attracts 300 to 400 worshippers, it must put to shame those churches where attendances are low and decreasing.

Being secular, I hope that there aren’t any with a religious axe to grind who will deny us from eastern York this unique view as we travel towards our city.
