More than 150 people gathered to recognise the hard work and commitment of staff at York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The annual event, held at Sandburn Hall, awards staff and volunteers for their achievements at work and is based on nominations from colleagues, patients and families.
The evening was hosted by trust chief executive, Patrick Crowley, and Libby McManus, chief nurse.
Patrick said: “It’s been a real pleasure to give staff and volunteers the recognition they deserve for their accomplishments. I’m grateful to all staff, patients, carers and volunteers who took the time to nominate and to the judges who had the very difficult job of choosing the winners.
Among the winners was Alison Cummings, clinic manager, who won the Unsung Hero award.
She works with GPs and teams throughout the organisation to ensure that people are referred to the right specialised service at the hospital. She carefully monitors demand to ensure that people are not left waiting for procedures at outpatient clinics.
