A 19-year-old man was left with a cut above his eye and bruising to his face, after he was hit with a bottle in a North Yorkshire nightclub.
Harrogate police are investigating the assault, which took place at the Viper Rooms at about 1am on Friday. A 19-year-old local man was approached by another man while he was on the dancefloor of the nightclub, at the Royal Baths on Parliament Street.
The man struck the 19-year-old over the head with a bottle. The victim was treated at Harrogate District Hospital and discharged later the same morning.
DC Stephen Williams of Harrogate CID, said: “This was a nasty assault which appears to be unprovoked.
