DEVELOPERS building new homes in East Yorkshire have signed up to a Government scheme designed to help first-time buyers get on the property ladder.
The FirstBuy initiative sees the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and housebuilders borrow 20 per cent of the property price, meaning purchasers only have to find the remaining 80 per cent.
Estimates have suggested the scheme could help up to 200 East Yorkshire households up to 2013.
