I FEEL very upset that Oliver House, Bishophil,l may have to close (The Press, July 12).
At a very bad time for us when mother at 90-plus could not cope, she went into there surrounded by so many lovely carers and Maggs the manager. It was one big family as we were always welcomed.
Unfortunately she died at 97, but she could not have been better looked after; my mum was never neglected.
Always grateful. Keep it open, please.
Joan Roberts (Ringrose), Elm End, Haxby, York.
