A FISHING fan from Serbia has travelled more than 1,000 miles to meet his idol – a Selby legal advisor who is one of angling’s top names.
The trans-European visitor, known only as Jova, used air travel, public transport and a bike to ensure he caught Julian Cundiff, who is also a fishing author, at the Fish-O-Mania Carp Fest, in Stoke-on-Trent.
Julian was the special guest at the event, covered by Sky Sports, and Jova left with a signed copy of the legal eagle’s latest book, as well as getting him to autograph a pile of Croatian fishing magazines.
