A POWER cut left businesses in Walmgate without electricity for about an hour today, for the second time in recent months.
A spokesman for CE Electric said an interruption in power struck the area at about 11.35am today.
Engineers were sent to fix the problem, and electricity was restored to the area shortly after 12.30pm.
In March, more than 1,770 properties in York, including the city centre and Walmgate, were left without power due to a similar disruption.
