CANNABIS resin worth half-a- million pounds has been seized by police in North Yorkshire.
It follows a joint operation between North Yorkshire Police, Durham Constabulary and the UK Borders Agency, on Thursday when a 44-year-old-man was arrested at Northallerton station.
Officers have carried out a number of search warrants at properties across North Yorkshire and Darlington as part of the investigation. Detective Inspector Matt Walker, of the force’s organised crime unit, said the seizure would “undoubtedly have an impact on organised criminals”.
The man, from Northallerton, has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
